UCAS Applications
Our programme of information, preparation and support for the UCAS application cycle launches in the Trinity Term of Y12.
Throughout the applications cycle and at key points in the process, students and parents receive regular information and updates from Sixth form leaders and from Deborah Streatfield our independent careers consultant, either in face-to-face meetings or online. Supplementary information is provided for prospective Oxbridge candidates.
Deborah Streatfield provides one-to-one UCAS interviews for Y12 students, personal statements workshops and staff training on supporting the UCAS process. She is available to students via email for personalised advice and support in liaising with UCAS and university admissions departments.
Form tutors work with students through Y12 and Y13 to support them in making informed course and university choices, writing personal statements and navigating the UCAS online application form.
Every application, personal statement and school reference is checked carefully by the UCAS co-ordinator (Mr. Hambleton, Assistant Headteacher) before the application is sent.
A programme of support and preparation for prospective Oxbridge applications known as the Janet Stuart Programme runs alongside the PSHE timetable for students who are invited or who ask to be included.
